Add the pop sound. I don’t care if no word has it. Just do it.

Hello! Your website is pretty complete, but could i ask if it would possible for you to create a keyboard that could read aloud the transcriptions users write in it? I think it would be a very useful tool to add! In any case, thank you for developing this site!

When I press ctrl+c (I’m using Chrome on Windows 10), it doesn’t copy the selected text, and it also replaces it with “ɔ”. (I can right-click to copy it, but if I forget and press ctrl+c, it’s frustrating and can make me lose what I’ve done.
Then if I press ctrl+z, it doesn’t undo it, and it also types a “z”.

It will make this tool a lot nicer to use if you:

  1. Don’t swallow the user’s inputs if they’re pressing ctrl, and/or
  2. Allow the user to press ctrl+z to undo previous actions (and ctrl+shift+z or ctrl+y to redo them) — I can guess that the way you’re implementing this currently may not be compatible with the default undo system for text areas, in which case you would have to either create an undo stack from scratch or change the way the IPA keyboard works, but an undo feature would really go a long way.

In any case, this can certainly be a very useful tool, and I appreciate it regardless.

Thank you!

Would it be possible to get a find/replace function for this? Or at least retain the highlighting from the transcription?
