This online keyboard let’s you type IPA using your hardware keyboard. The full IPA character set is arranged into 4 layouts:
- Main: most common characters;
- WIth Shift key down: the rest of most common characters;
- With Alt key down: diacritics;
- With Alt+Shift down: tone marks, clicks and the rest characters.
Press Shift and/or Alt keys on your hardware keyboard to learn the additional layouts. When you are happy, just copy the content of the field with your usual “Select All” and “Copy” commands.

Hello! Your website is pretty complete, but could i ask if it would possible for you to create a keyboard that could read aloud the transcriptions users write in it? I think it would be a very useful tool to add! In any case, thank you for developing this site!

How can I do to write Phonemes in social media. COPY AND PASTE?
When I press ctrl+c (I’m using Chrome on Windows 10), it doesn’t copy the selected text, and it also replaces it with “ɔ”. (I can right-click to copy it, but if I forget and press ctrl+c, it’s frustrating and can make me lose what I’ve done.
Then if I press ctrl+z, it doesn’t undo it, and it also types a “z”.
