I wonder if it’s possible to change the clips from as short as 2 seconds to around 10 seconds. Sometimes it’s nice to hear more of the context to better understand why and how it’s being used.

This is an amazing tool, nevertheless!

Es una excelente herramienta para mejorar la pronunciación. Lo que me ha permitido ir entendiendo cada vez más el ingles hablado, debido a que pronuncio los sonidos del idioma ingles de forma más clara.

Not every “th” is read as /θ/. Also Thomas, Thames and thyme.

how to pronounce Bebe? I know how to verbally pronounce it, but I don’t know how to write it phonetically so a phone can catch it. In Brazil (where I live), people pronounce it as either bebe as of the verb like bébe or bebê. But it’d be like Bêbe. Emphasis on the first E. BE-be. but the second is not silent. Like the Spanish word for baby, or the Madoka character. Phonetic. In IPA. Anyone who can help?

…isso em Português do Brasil? Porque este site http://www.tophonetics.com só trata de Inglês (Europeu e Americano)– e nesse caso tería baby > ˈbeɪbi.
Para Português (Brasileiro ou Europeu) e outras, pode usar o easypronunciation.com/pt

Para responder à sua pergunta, bebê > beˈbe; bébê > ˈbɛbe.

Bebe /ˈbebe/ or /ˈbebɪ/ or /ˈbebə/ (as a name with the stress in the first syllable, like Bêbe, but it really depends on how you pronounce your own name).

  • My name is Bebe.
  • Meu nome é Bebe.

The other words sound different.

Bebê /ˈbeɪbi/ (meaning baby)

  • I have a baby girl.
  • Eu tenho uma bebê.

Bebe /ˈbɛbe/ (can mean a imperative for drink or 2nd person in the present, stress in the first syllable, open short e sound)

  • Drink faster, it’s an order.
  • Bebe (tu) mais rápido, é uma ordem.
  • She drinks a lot every day.
  • Ela bebe demais todo dia.
